After the Clippers Lost to the Thunder 101-100, Paul George Hurt His Leg
Tuesday night’s 101-100 loss to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder by the Los Angeles Clippers saw star player Paul George suffer an injury in the fourth quarter.
With 4:38 left, George collapsed beneath the Thunder’s basket. He lay on his back for several minutes before being helped to his feet. Supported by staff on either side, George headed to the locker room, appearing to barely be able to put any weight on his right leg.
George finished with seven rebounds, five assists, and 18 points. A team with dreams of winning its first NBA title might suffer if he were to leave.
Against his old team, Gilgeous-Alexander scored 31 points. The Thunder’s 20 additional points came from Jalen Williams.
