NBA Players of the Week Are Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard
Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks have been selected as the NBA’s Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week for Week 16 of the 2022-23 season, respectively (Jan. 30 to Feb. 5).
While leading the Blazers to a 3-1 week (with victories over the Memphis Grizzlies, Atlanta Hawks, and Washington Wizards), Lillard averaged 38.3 points, 6.8 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game.
While leading the Bucks to a 3-0 week (with victories over the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers, and Charlotte Hornets), Antetokounmpo averaged an absurd 41.0 points, 17.3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists.
Mikal Bridges of Phoenix, Anthony Davis of Los Angeles, Nikola Joki of Denver, Jamal Murray of Denver, Kawhi Leonard of Los Angeles, Joel Embiid of Philadelphia, Markelle Fultz of Orlando, Darius Garland of Cleveland, Dejounte Murray of Atlanta, and Cam Thomas of Brooklyn were the other contenders for Player of the Week.
